Aubrey believes her role as a doula is to nurture and guide a woman in labor by providing unobtrusive support. She focuses strongly on the inner journey and on holding space for the other’s journey to unfold.

 

When a woman's decisions are cared for with honor and respect, she can move through labor with confidence knowing she is supported to follow her own wisdom.

Aubrey supports women in ways that allow them to tune into and trust their own bodies. Through her own experiences she has learned that listening to your body is vitally important in the decision making process.

 

Working with women who have a history of traumatic experiences, Aubrey has found that women can have a healing birth experience if given the space to do so.  She is passionate about holding this space and being witness to others’ personal transformation and helping them feel empowered. She felt called to this work through her own birth and healing experiences.

Using techniques collected from the wisdoms of yoga, meditation, massage, Reiki, Ayurveda, behavioral science, and from the knowledge she has gained over twelve years as a formally trained dancer, Aubrey incorporates a holistic approach to her services. By providing resources and support that meets you where you are, together you will address various facets of your life so that you feel nourished, supported, and prepared to give birth in a way that feels empowering and that feels true to you.

 

Aubrey feels that supporting families through a transformative journey such as birth is both an honor and a pleasure.
